Laing+Simmons Liverpool Opens At Pivotal Time

June 9, 2017: Laing+Simmons this week opens its doors to a brand new office in Liverpool at a time when the local market is set to play an increasingly critical role in the future of Sydney’s south west growth corridor.

​Laing+Simmons Liverpool is the first example of the group’s partnership model in action in Sydney, a collaborative evolution of the traditional franchise model whereby Laing+Simmons, through its parent company Dexar Group, takes a co-ownership position in the new office.

Under the experienced guidance of Principal David Tran and leading local residential sales expert Nada Raic, Laing+Simmons Liverpool will offer a full suite of real estate services, encompassing sales, property management, project marketing, valuation and auction services.

“It’s an exciting time in the context of Liverpool’s history,” Mr Tran says.

“There’s a great deal of investment earmarked for the region, with new infrastructure, commercial and residential development planned which will give rise to an influx of new residents and jobs.  

“There may be a host of new projects planned for the area but Liverpool has always been a close-knit community, and this identity will remain,” Mr Tran says.

He’s in a good position to judge, being a product of Liverpool Boys High School.

“I’ve grown up in the area and lived here all my life. What is happening now and over the next 10 to 20 years will undoubtedly change the face of Liverpool, but community is about people and our future success will always revolve around putting our customers first,” Mr Tran says.

The Liverpool office is the newest addition to the expanding group. The Laing+Simmons growth strategy is flexible to enable new offices to join through a franchise arrangement or through a partnership approach.

​Laing+Simmons is owned by Dexar Group, which also operates the successful Independent Property Group and Peter Blackshaw real estate brands in the ACT market.

​Dexar Executive Director and Head of Growth, Stan Platis, expects new opportunities to roll out the partnership model to emerge in other Sydney locations as infrastructure-fuelled growth, including the Bagderys Creek airport, ramps up.

“We’re investigating a range of opportunities across Sydney and look forward to speaking to like-minded operators to progress our growth plans further,” Mr Platis says.

“Liverpool is a well-established community in south west Sydney but as the broader region undergoes new economic and employment growth, its importance as a regional focal point will only increase.
